    My new M3 faulted soon after delivery. While I am not pleased with apparent QC issues from Tesla, I am pleased to have stumbled upon this video; I am not alone in feeling disappointed. Getting service and being funneled through the Tesla app present a miserable experience for those not lucky enough to get a 100% functioning and flawless Tesla. I encountered one fault that presented a "schedule service" alert which slowed my car down from 75 mph to 64 mph as I was traveling in the fast lane.

    When “it’s expected’ is unacceptable for even a budget car - frankly this type of shoddiness is ridiculous for a car of this ‘intended’ ilk - ramping production as Musk puts it should be aborted until they meet the basic acceptance level for the average car driver. Great tech, piss poor packaging

    My model 3 has driven now 450km in total and i washed by hand the undercarriage and i found it full of tiny scratches and chips.... what paint are they using? Sugar glazing? I sold my 5 year old BMW right before i got the Tesla and it was spotless....

    Under the hood, on each side, there are two circular black plastic stoppers. These can be adjusted by screwing them further in or out by hand. That’s what they’re for. So you can easily adjust the side of the hood to align it yourself. I did that for mine too.

    How does a car like this leave the factory with faults like that? Doesn't anyone do a final inspection before despatch? Or is the Tesla attitude "Meh, just let it go, some other dude can fix it later on' Makes you wonder about the quality of all the parts you can't see.

    I have the same issue with my 21 Model Y steering wheel not aligned properly like yours. Tesla fixed it during one of my services. At first they charged me $126 for it. Claimed that I hit something after delivery to cause the misalignment. Later refunded me when they realized that a tons of Model 3 and Y have the same issue 😐

    Panel gaps are standard features in Tesla so I don't consider them as issues 😂

    This is my second Tesla. I like Tesla cars because of their technology. I just wish that the quality control is better. A brand new car with issues like steering wheel off alignment, paint chips, door not closed properly, wheel not balanced, which were all the issues on my car. Tesla needs a serious competitor to keep them honest about their quality control

    I’m sorry you had to go through that experience! Tesla’s are beautiful cars but the quality control sucks and the service center’s aren’t the best when it comes to getting stuff fixed depending on your location. I got lucky that I reported all my issues the next day when I had time to properly check my car before I hit 100 miles.

    The mention of “it’s to be expected” when referring to quality kills me. There should be zero quality issues related to panel gaps upon delivery of a new vehicle. This is especially true given all the attention Tesla has received for poor fit and finish. Why people accept this at time of delivery is hard for me to comprehend.

    Teslas are not cars according to all Teslas reps. They are high tech computers on wheels. Humidity on all lights (Service : within specs) Temp sensor DOA (Service : Changed) Panel gaps everywhere (Service : within specs) Scratches under the car on paint (Service : within specs) Camera DOA (Service : Changed) Humidity on both side cameras (Service : within specs) Errors popping every 20 seconds because of humidity in cameras (Service : within specs) 2021 Model 3 LR KM driven until all these issues popped up : 450 But when the CEO says ''as expected'' what do you expect from service? ...... Tesla : best innovation ever / worse customer service / quality control ever Whoever says otherwise have either been driving cheaper lemons or never had a car before the Tesla. That is that majority of the Tesla hard core fans that will attack you on site if you dare say something negative about Tesla. Tesla fan base is also the most toxic in the automotive industry. Never seen so much protective and hateful attitude ever.

    I agree with you. For my situation, I needed a vehicle soon cause I got rid of my other car a month prior. I couldn’t wait even longer to potentially have similar issues as the quality is probably going to be the same.

    I didn’t mean it like that. Haha It’s definitely a lot of money and not cheap by any means. But Tesla is still relatively a new car company that is trying to massively scale up it’s production. Obviously, purchasing a new car with defects like this is quite annoying and unacceptable. But I knew that having defects at time of delivery was expected which made it more bearable. It wasn’t a shock at the time of delivery and I knew that the main issues would be addressed. Your basically paying for the vision and technology. When it comes to the fit n finish, I’d say that it’s not the best. Overall, I do feel that the pro’s definitely outweigh the con’s. It’s like when you buy a range rover, you know that the quality is present but it’s not reliable so your ready to pay for repairs down the line. It’s the opposite in this case. It’s a reliable car but quality may not be the best. At the end of the day, you have to decide what your willing to spend your money on and what is okay for you and what isn’t.

    Tesla prefers having the service centers fix the issues rather than doing it at the factory. Unfortunately, less convenience for the customer to have to do this instead of having a car that's already perfect to drive.

    I love how you keep saying "It's expected when you purchase a car like this, unfortunately". Like you I have been wanting an electric car since the first leaf came out and have almost bought the model 3 so many times but cannot bring myself to hit the purchase button. Still waiting for them to sort out their QC.

    @Burt De Mill They have trained their reps and mobile service crew to preach that Teslas are not cars but computers on wheels so we should treat them as such. The last idiot that came to my house to fix the car was yelling that i should not take the car to the car wash because it says in the manual that Tesla takes no responsibility if the car wash hits the cameras with pressure water and breaks them. 60.000 dollars paper box with a kick ass software.... great.

    You are going to wait for MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANy years my friend.... Elon just confirmed on Munroe yesterday that QC is intentional due to production ramping times. Basically it is a gamble. You might get one that is perfect and next week a friend of yours one that is shit.
